MSc CultTech is run by three partner institutions: the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management (University of the Peloponnese), the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos", and the National Observatory of Athens.

Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management
(University of the Peloponnese)

Since 2003, the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management combines the traditional sciences of History and Archaeology with the field of Cultural Resources Management. Informed theoretical and methodological perspectives, as well as fieldwork enhance the programme's educational and research impact. The Department runs three laboratories (Laboratory of Archaeometry, Laboratory of Maritime Archaeology, Laboratory of Modern and Contemporary History) and a Museum - Teaching Collection.
The Laboratory of Archaeometry is the backbone of CultTech’s lab facilities. The LoA operates with 16 researchers (Scientific Director, 5 post-doctoral, and 11 doctoral researchers). With a wide range of instrumentation, it is one of the best-equipped Archaeometry laboratories in Greece, focusing primarily on analytical, non-invasive research of archaeological and geoarchaeological collections, absolute dating, and digital cultural studies.

National Centre for Scientific Research, Demokritos

Founded in July 1961 as a Research Centre for Nuclear Research, the National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos is the largest multidisciplinary Research Centre in Greece, with approximately 180 researchers in tenured and tenure-track positions and over 500 research personnel working in projects funded primarily by grants from state funds, the European Union and private industries. MSc CultTech collaborates with two of the NCSR's institutes: the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics and the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

National Observatory of Athens

The National Observatory of Athens is the first research Institution of the modern Greek state (1842). Its facilities in Thission, opposite the Parthenon, constitute an Athenian landmark and have been used by Greek and foreign astronomers for astronomical, meteorological, chartographical, and geodynamical measurements and observations for more than 170 years. The NOA building at Thission also houses an Astrogeophysics Museum, with clocks, telescopes, and other instruments from the 19th century, as well as an extensive 19th-century library. MSc CultTech collaborates with the NOA's Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development Research.
